The AXIS M5526-E PTZ Camera is a compact, budget-friendly PTZ built for indoor or outdoor use, delivering crisp 4 MP video (up to 2688×1512) at up to 50/60 fps, with continuous 360° endless pan, 0–90° tilt, and 10x optical zoom (plus 12x digital) for fast overviews and confident close-ups. It’s designed for real-world lighting with day/night switching, Lightfinder 2.0, and Forensic WDR up to 120 dB, while focus recall and features like preset positions help operators return to key viewpoints instantly. Built on ARTPEC-8 with a DLPU, it supports edge analytics including AXIS Object Analytics to detect and classify humans and vehicles (cars, buses, trucks, bikes, other) plus AXIS Scene Metadata to speed up investigations, and it reduces bandwidth/storage with Axis Zipstream and H.264/H.265. Integration is straightforward with microSD edge storage, audio support (two-way via external audio), and I/O connectivity, powered by PoE (Class 3) or 20–28 V DC, and it’s hardened with IP66 and IK09 ratings plus Axis Edge Vault cybersecurity features like Signed OS, secure boot, secure keystore, Axis device ID, and signed video for stronger device integrity.
