For 24/7 clarity, IR variants use high-power 850 nm LEDs with lens-dependent ranges up to 70 m at full tele, while HDSM SmartCodec with Idle Scene Mode helps reduce bandwidth and storage without sacrificing evidentiary detail. Operationally, both lines support dual microSD slots (tested up to 1.5 TB) for edge recording, and the H6X models add redundant power with seamless failover between PoE and auxiliary power to maintain continuous operation.
