What Is Genetec Omnicast?
Genetec Omnicast is the IP video management system (VMS) within Genetec Security Center, the unified platform that brings video surveillance, access control, and automatic licence plate recognition together in a single interface. Rather than operating as a standalone recorder, Omnicast forms the video layer of a single operating picture — so operators monitor, verify and respond without switching systems.
Its open architecture supports thousands of camera models from AXIS Communications and other leading manufacturers, letting you retain existing hardware and choose best-fit devices as your system grows. Intelligent streaming and bandwidth management keep live and recorded video responsive, even across constrained networks.
