Avigilon Alta A5 360 Camera Overview
The Avigilon Alta A5 360 is an AI-powered, cloud-managed 360° fisheye panoramic camera built to provide all-direction coverage from a single mounting point—ideal for open areas where blind spots matter. It uses a 12MP sensor (up to 3000×3000 at 30 fps) with multi-exposure, line-based HDR and integrated 850 nm IR illumination (rated up to 20 m) to maintain clear detail across challenging lighting and low-light scenes, and it includes on-device storage via MicroSD (SDXC UHS-I). For smarter incident detection, it pairs video analytics with a 4-microphone array that supports AI audio event classification and audio source localization. Designed for real-world deployments, it’s PoE+ powered (802.3at Type 2), includes practical setup aids (USB-C preview/setup and automatic wall/ceiling detection), and is hardened for indoor or outdoor use with IK10 impact resistance, IP66 ingress protection, and an operating range of −40°C to +50°C (with heater support). The A5 360 line is offered in black or white housings with onboard retention SKUs (30-day or 60-day options) as well as versions that require a Cloud Connector, and it includes security-first features like factory-installed certificates backed by a trusted platform module (TPM), no default passwords, mandatory authentication, and HTTPS/TLS encryption (with ONVIF Profile S available when set to ONVIF mode).
