AXIS Video Analytics

AXIS Object Analytics is an AI-based video analytics application that comes preinstalled on compatible AXIS network cameras at no extra cost. Running directly on the camera, it detects and classifies objects as humans or vehicles, with configurable trigger conditions that allow scenarios to be tailored to specific surveillance needs — such as an object entering a defined area or crossing a virtual line. Available scenario types include object in area, line crossing, time in area, crossline counting, occupancy in area, tailgating detection, and PPE monitoring — with multiple scenarios able to run simultaneously, and data visualised through dashboards or spreadsheets for actionable operational insights. Intelligent algorithms suppress common sources of false alarms, keeping focus on genuine threats, while integration with the camera’s event management system ensures compatibility with all major video management platforms. AXIS Object Analytics is delivered pre-installed with AXIS OS on compatible cameras and requires firmware 10.2 or later for MLPU cameras, and 10.3 or later for DLPU cameras.
