The Avigilon Alta A5 Dome Camera is a cloud-managed fixed dome built for fast deployment and reliable indoor or outdoor coverage, pairing on-device processing and storage with the Alta Video platform to minimise on-site infrastructure and simplify ongoing management. It’s available in 5MP 3072×1728 at 30 fps or 8MP 4K 3840×2160 at 30 fps, using a 1/1.8 inch sensor and a motorized 3.6–10 mm lens with remote zoom and focus and P-iris for precise commissioning and sharper depth of field. For challenging lighting it uses multi exposure line based HDR, and for night scenes it includes integrated 850 nm IR with 30 m range, automatic night mode and an IR cut filter. Built in intelligence includes AI video analytics plus AI audio event classification from a 4 microphone array, with audio source localization to help operators quickly identify where an incident is happening. The camera supports H.264 and Motion JPEG, includes 2× microSD storage, and is hardened with factory installed certificates backed by a TPM, no default passwords, mandatory access authentication, and HTTPS TLS encryption, all in a robust IK10 and IP66 aluminum housing rated for -40°C to +50°C operation, with a 10 year warranty with an Alta Video license or 3 year warranty without.
