The Avigilon H4 Video Intercom combines a 3MP fisheye camera (170° horizontal view) with a high-performance intercom to create a single, secured entry-point device that helps teams see, speak with, and authorise visitors before granting access. It’s engineered for difficult lighting with LightCatcher™ low-light performance, triple-exposure Wide Dynamic Range (and dual-exposure WDR at full frame rate), plus integrated IR LEDs for 0-lux scenes (up to 5 m). Two-way communication is clear and natural with full-duplex audio, noise reduction, and echo cancellation, supporting Opus and G.711 codecs, and it also supports SIP for peer-to-peer and PBX voice-only calling. For practical door control, it provides digital I/O for interfacing with locks and other equipment, PoE (802.3af Class 3) single-cable networking/power, and microSD support for onboard storage. It’s built for exposed entry points with tamper-resistant recessed or surface-mount housings, physical tamper detection, IP66 weather protection, and IK10 impact rating on the enclosure (IK08 on the bubble), and includes enterprise-ready features like H.264/MJPEG with HDSM SmartCodec™, ONVIF Profiles S and G, and cybersecurity controls including HTTPS encryption and 802.1X—with support for advanced Unity workflows such as Appearance Search™ and Facial Recognition where the broader system is licensed and configured.
