Avigilon H5 Pro Camera Overview
The Avigilon H5 Pro is a high-resolution camera line built to cover large, open areas with fewer cameras, with model options from 4K (8 MP) through 5K (16 MP), 6.25K (26 MP), 8K (40 MP) and up to 10K (61 MP) for extreme detail across wide scenes. It combines True WDR (up to 120 dB) with LightCatcher™ low-light performance (minimum illumination 0.004 lux @ f/1.4) to keep important details visible in mixed lighting and after-hours conditions. To help control ongoing storage and network costs, the H5 Pro supports H.264 and H.265 with HDSM SmartCodec™, idle scene mode, and HDSM 2.0 bandwidth optimisation—especially valuable when streaming very high resolution video. For proactive monitoring, Next-Generation Video Analytics is supported on the 8/16/26 MP models (the 26 MP model requires Full Feature mode for analytics), and the camera also supports Unusual Activity Detection (UAD) for motion that stands out from normal activity. Deployment is flexible with multiple lens options (including long-zoom), dual microSD slots (with one slot currently available for onboard storage), Gigabit Ethernet via RJ-45 or SFP fiber (one connection type at a time), and power via PoE+ (802.3at), 12 VDC, or 24 VAC, backed by a 5-year warranty.
