The AXIS Q21 Thermal Camera Series is a rugged outdoor thermal range designed for reliable 24/7 detection and verification in total darkness and challenging conditions like smoke and light fog, while remaining privacy-friendly because it detects heat rather than visible detail. The lineup includes AXIS Q2111-E for long-range thermal detection with a 384×288 sensor, 60 mm lens, electronic image stabilization, plus audio support and I/O for alarm-driven integrations, AXIS Q2112-E for high-resolution perimeter protection with a 640×480 sensor (scalable up to 800×600), very high thermal sensitivity and six lens options (10–100 mm) to match the required detection distance, and AXIS Q2101-TE for remote temperature monitoring across -40 °C to 350 °C with spot temperature reading, temperature metadata for analysis, and early fire detection analytics preinstalled. When paired with a positioning unit (sold separately), Q21 cameras can deliver 360° unobstructed views and smooth guard tours, and with edge-to-edge capabilities they can trigger devices like network speakers for proactive warnings. Across the range you also get modern streaming efficiency with Axis Zipstream and strong device hardening via Axis Edge Vault and robust outdoor ratings for harsh perimeter deployments.
