The AXIS Q36 Dome Camera Series is a high-performance outdoor dome range built for sites that need premium image quality, easy install and re-aiming, and smarter alerts without adding complexity. The line includes AXIS Q3626-VE delivering 4 MP (2688×1512) and AXIS Q3628-VE delivering 8 MP / 4K (3840×2160), both with up to 50/60 fps, day/night functionality, and a varifocal lens with remote zoom and focus—plus remote PTRZ (pan, tilt, roll, zoom) so installers can fine-tune the scene (and re-adjust later) over the network without rolling a truck. For challenging lighting, both models include Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR for clearer colour and detail in backlight and low light, while electronic image stabilization helps keep footage usable on poles and vibration-prone mounts. Built on an Axis SoC with a deep learning processing unit, the series supports analytics based on deep learning on the edge, with AXIS Object Analytics preinstalled and scene metadata to speed up forensic search, alongside efficient streaming using Zipstream with H.264/H.265 and microSD edge storage. Designed for harsh conditions, these domes use a metal casing with IK10 vandal resistance and IP66/IP6K9K protection, and they’re hardened with Axis Edge Vault features like Signed OS, secure boot, and a secure element to strengthen device-level cybersecurity.
