AXIS Q38 Series Overview:
The AXIS Q3839-PVE and Q3839-SPVE are 29MP multisensor panoramic cameras, each combining four 8.3MP 1/1.8″ progressive scan RGB CMOS sensors with a fixed 4.6mm F1.8 lens to deliver seamless 180° horizontal and 90° vertical coverage at up to 30 fps — all under a single IP address. Both models run on a dual ARTPEC-8 system-on-chip with a dedicated Deep Learning Processing Unit (DLPU), with 4GB RAM per chip, powering AXIS Object Analytics for on-edge detection, classification, tracking, and counting of humans and vehicle types across the full panoramic field of view, plus AXIS Scene Metadata for face, licence plate, and attribute capture. Lossless zoom enables sharp digital magnification without resolution loss, while horizon straightening and remote motor-driven pan/tilt/roll adjustment (±176° pan, 30°–88° tilt, ±7° roll) simplify installation. Forensic WDR up to 120 dB, Lightfinder 2.0, and a minimum illumination of 0.1 lux colour / 0.03 lux B/W ensure excellent image quality in challenging light. Cybersecurity is underpinned by Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based platform with TPM 2.0 (CC EAL4+, FIPS 140-2 Level 2), a CC EAL6+ secure element, signed video, signed OS, and AES-XTS-Plain64 256-bit encrypted storage. The Q3839-PVE is IP66/IP67/IK10 and NEMA 4X rated for demanding outdoor use from –40°C to +50°C, while the Q3839-SPVE upgrades to electropolished SS 316L stainless steel with IP66/IP67/IP68/IP6K9K and IK10 ratings for marine, chemical, and food processing environments — certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 169. Both are PoE-powered (802.3at Class 4) and backed by a 5-year warranty.
