The AXIS Q62 PTZ Camera Series is a heavy-duty outdoor PTZ platform built for long-range perimeter and wide-area surveillance and the series currently features the AXIS Q6225-LE model. It delivers HDTV 1080p video at up to 60/50 fps, uses a 1/2 inch sensor, and pairs 31x optical zoom (plus 12x digital) with precise PTZ control including 360° endless pan, -90° to +90° tilt, and up to 300 presets with operator aids like orientation aid and focus recall for fast incident follow-up. For challenging environments it combines Lightfinder and Forensic WDR up to 120 dB with electronic image stabilization and defog, and adds long-range OptimizedIR rated up to 400 m to support identification in complete darkness. Built for harsh sites, it’s rated IP66/IP68, NEMA 4X, IK10, and is MIL-STD-810G and NEMA TS-2 compliant with Arctic Temperature Control and an integrated wiper for clearer viewing in bad weather. On the intelligence side, it includes AXIS Object Analytics and AXIS Scene Metadata with autotracking and gatekeeper functions, while Zipstream with H.264/H.265 helps reduce bandwidth and storage, and Axis Edge Vault hardens the device with features like signed OS and secure boot for stronger cybersecurity in critical deployments.
