The AXIS XFQ1656 is an explosion-protected fixed camera built for hazardous industrial sites, certified for Class I/II/III Div 1, Zone 1/21, IIC/IIIC and Ex I Mb environments—so you can deploy video where standard cameras aren’t permitted. It captures 4 MP (up to 2688×1512) video with Lightfinder 2.0 and Forensic WDR (up to 120 dB, scene-dependent) for strong detail in difficult lighting, and supports smooth motion up to 50/60 fps (or 25/30 fps with WDR enabled). Installation and commissioning are streamlined via a 3.9–10 mm F1.5 varifocal i-CS lens with remote zoom/focus, plus electronic image stabilization and multi-view streaming (up to 8 cropped views) for flexible monitoring from a single camera. For safety-driven use cases, it includes preinstalled smoke alert analytics and AXIS Object Analytics (including PPE/hardhat detection) powered by an on-device DLPU, helping teams detect risk conditions earlier without relying on server processing. It’s also engineered for harsh environments and cyber resilience with an electropolished SUS316L stainless steel IP66/67/68 enclosure, IK10-rated housing (IK08 front glass), an included wiper, and Axis Edge Vault security features such as secure boot, signed OS, secure keystore, and an encrypted filesystem—backed by a 5-year warranty.
