Our Origins
It all started in 1984 as ‘John Derek Security’ with three people – John, Jim and Derek. From a small unit in western Sydney’s industrial park of Smithfield, NSW, the dedicated trio delivered reliable and super-fast patrol and guard services for eight local businesses.

Fast forward 40 years to 2024, with our original three trailblazers long since retired, JD Security (rebranded in 1999) is an internationally recognised Australian-owned security provider with a large, highly valued team of leaders & staff, global technology partners, and local & national commercial customers.
