AXIS Q1700-LE is designed to capture licence plate images with exceptional clarity & sharpness. When deployed AXIS Q1700-LE:
- Delivers HDTV 1080p & ensures the required pixel density for licence plate identification at speeds of up to 130 km/h
- Can capture traffic in one lane at a range of up to 100 metres during the day
- Can capture licence plate images at up to 50 metres in darkness
- Can capture licence plate images at up to 100 metres in darkness when combined with the AXIS T90D20 Infrared LED Illuminator
AXIS Q1700-LE includes a built-in licence plate capture assistant to ensure easy setup for best video performance. Simply enter the installation height, distance to the vehicle & expected speed, & the licence plate capture assistant automatically adjusts the image settings to perfectly fit your specific scene.

This robust & weatherproof camera includes an extra-long weathershield for protection in any environment. It can withstand hurricane force winds of more than 60m/s & with IP66, NEMA 4X & IK10 ratings, you can be sure that it’s resistant to both harsh weather conditions & impacts. Plus, the gray color housing & black weathershield blends right in to any traffic environment.

AXIS Q1700-LE is compatible with AXIS Camera Station & most third-party video management systems (VMS), allowing you to use analytics or other third-party applications to meet your specific needs. You can select edge or server-based software from any third-party vendor to perform further analysis such as licence plate recognition or trigger actions.
