How does Unification work?
Security Center merges three main security applications:
- Video Surveillance: Omnicast™ is an IP video management system that supports a wide range of cameras and CCTV equipment.
- Access Control: Synergis™ is an IP access control system that offers management of doors, cardholders, and credentials.
- Number Plate Recognition: AutoVu™ is an IP license plate recognition system for automating vehicle identification.

Omnicast Video Management System
Genetec Omnicast is the comprehensive IP video management system (VMS) in Genetec’s Security Center platform.

The system supports a variety of hardware, including third-party card readers, wireless locks, WiFi locks, PoE locks, SimonsVoss digital padlocks, AXIS door controllers, and Genetec AutoVu SharpV license plate recognition cameras. This integration allows for comprehensive intrusion detection and access control, making it a versatile solution for modern security needs.
AutoVu
Genetec AutoVu is an advanced Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) system integrated into the Genetec Security Center. It’s designed to provide high-accuracy license plate detection and recognition for various applications, including parking management, vehicle classification, and real-time insights.
Security Desk
Security Desk is the main module within the Genetec Security Center platform, offering a unified interface for security operations. It integrates video surveillance, access control, and automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) into a single platform, enhancing operational efficiency and situational awareness.
Key features include real-time event and alarm monitoring, dynamic map-based visualization, and the ability to track door and cardholder activity.
